Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra translates as ‘yogic sleep’. It is a powerful practice of awareness and deep conscious relaxation. It is said that half an hour of Yoga Nidra is equivalent to 2-3 hours sleep. It has been used to help treat anxiety, depression and sleep disorders.  It is a very specific and powerful meditation practice. You will be guided through identifying sensations, feelings and emotions throughout your body whilst focusing on your breath allowing you to release deeply held tensions of which you may not even have been aware. This hour-long class begins with some supported restorative poses to help open up the body so you can lie comfortably using foam blocks, bolsters and blankets for your relaxation. This practice can leave you feeling refreshed, with a sense of wholeness, ready to resume your busy lifestyle.

“Workout fads come and go, but virtually no other exercise program is as enduring as yoga. It’s been around for more than 5,000 years”
